First Aid Level 3 Overview

First aid is the first and immediate assistance given to any person suffering from either a minor or serious illness or injury. The purpose of first aid is to preserve life, prevent the condition from worsening, or to promote recovery. It includes performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) while waiting for an ambulance or medical help to arrive, as well as the complete treatment of minor conditions, such as applying a plaster to a cut.

Who is the First Aid course for?

First Aid Course is compulsory if you want to work as a security officer, or if you want to teach first aid as a trainer.

• Emergency First Aid 1 Day Course is for Security Officers.
• First Aid At Work 2 days course is ideal for trainers, and workers.

For an SIA License you will need to complete the 1 Day Emergency First Aid At Work. This course is compulsory for you to complete in order to apply for an SIA Licence.
